T4 Witney

Excited to have got a second hand Nikon 70-300mm lens at T4 Witney as a Christmas present.  I was served by Richard who was very helpful.  Bit frustrated that I have to wait until Christmas before using it.  Here is a shot I took when trying the lens out on the street.  Can't wait to try at a nature reserve.

Hughenden Manor

It was fun spending the day out at Hughenden Manor, National Trust with friends and family.  The gardens opened out into parkland with a stream running through.  There was also a nice orchard.

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust Photographic Competition

Pleased to find out that one of my photographs has been selected for the People's Choice Award of the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust Photographic Competition.  Here is my picture of a red-headed cardinal beetle.

Camera club competion

Excited to have come third in my local camera club competition in the under 16's category with this shot:

Scything

A sunny day at Chilswell Valley scything reeds as part of the Wild Oxford project.  Thanks again to Jim for teaching Mum and I.  Pleased to hear the reeds are being used at Hill End to make round houses.  Shame I had a smudge on my lens so photos not my best.

Thanks Dr Judy Webb for this picture

Evening at the lock

A few evenings ago I went to Sandford Lock at dusk.  I experimented with a different camera.  Currently I do not have the right lens so it was difficult photographing the kestrel. Here are the results.

Wittenham Clumps

Good wild walk last weekend at Wittenham Clumps and surrounding woodland with Alex of Appleton Wildlife Diary.  Here are my photos which are all taken by me except the ones I appear in.
